Out in the corral with Storm. See, Austin really is from Kentucky!

Greetings from Southern California! We’ve been enjoying some classic San Diego weather since arriving on Sunday, but we’re preparing for a couple of cool and damp days ahead. That could certainly put plans for tomorrow’s Padres baseball game in jeopardy. But if the forecast holds, we should enjoy a few more nice days before heading home on Monday.

One quick observation you might find striking, it was for me: Austin saw the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean for the first time on the same day. The Atlantic Ocean was from overhead as we circled around to make our approach into JFK prior to our connecting flight. Then, shortly after arriving in California, he enjoyed an opportunity to kayak in San Diego Bay.

Here are some images from our time so far. I’m sure I’ll have more to share with you when the week is through.

It looks like there is lots of fun to be had in San Diego! That’s the kind of vacation that I need!
